View knowledge product

The BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health (BRAC University) Centre for Gender and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (CGSRHR) developed a short documentary that features narratives of single working women in Dhaka city. The film is based on the findings of a project funded by Share-Net International titled ‘Where Do They Go? Accessibility of SRHR Services for Single Working Women in Urban Bangladesh.’ Researchers collected stories from unmarried women who live and work in Dhaka city with the aim of understanding the challenges they face and the choices they make to navigate their lives in a society that often overlooks their sexual reproductive health and rights. Additionally, they collaborated with Bahnishikha-Unlearn Gender, an organization that performs theatrical shows on gender issues, to develop a theatre script on the same topic.
