#Menstrual Health Matters
View knowledge productIn this study, ethnography served as the primary research method, utilizing peers of adolescent girls to observe and interact with participants in their daily environment, aiming to capture their lived experience of menstrual hygiene management in Nepal. Menstruation holds significant importance in the realm of sexual and reproductive health for those who menstruate. However, it remains a taboo subject in many countries worldwide and is an area within Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) that lacks consistent research and funding.
The objective of #Menstrual Health Matters was to convey and disseminate compelling findings and insights gathered by PSI-Europe through this project.
Four knowledge products resulted from this research (all available below): a short report, an ecosystem leaflet, a study leaflet, and a thematic meeting. These knowledge products were distributed among relevant stakeholders and shared within a network of partners, alliances, and practitioners, including the Menstrual Health Hub, Nepal Menstrual Health Alliance, and the Share-Net network.”
