Capacity-strengthening for national-level policy change: Europe Unite for CSE rights

View knowledge product

This project, led by CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality, involved five European countries: Cyprus, Georgia, Poland, Romania, and the Netherlands. Recognizing the distinct contexts of each country, the initial phase of the project consisted of conducting desk research following a uniform template to guide the development of national advocacy action plans. This research aimed to align with identified relevant national events, acknowledging the specific realities within each country.

The desk research conducted not only serves CHOICE’s advocacy action plans but also represents a valuable repository of information and knowledge on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) and other Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) themes, crafted by young people for young people.

Subsequently, the research findings from all five countries were collated and presented in the form of infographics, available in both English and the respective national languages. These infographics can be accessed on YouAct’s website via the following links and in the Annex of the knowledge product downloadable below:

CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality

CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality is an ambitious and bold youth-led organization. They advocate for the sexual and reproductive health and rights of young people worldwide and support them to meaningfully participate and to voice and claim their rights.

YouAct

YouAct works to empower young people to take an active role in their communities and organisations and to advocate for Sexual and Reproductive Rights as Human Rights. We believe that decisions which affect young people should be planned and formed by young people themselves. Young people should be taken seriously as capable and productive individuals. Meaningful Youth Participation in the designing, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policies, programs and services aimed at young people, is crucial for their success.
