Fairspace

Fairspace is based in the Netherlands. They are a part of an international network of grassroots organizations and are powered by a local passionate team, made up of trainers, scholars, policy advisors, and creatives. Fairspace builds safe, inclusive public spaces. Fairspace envisions a society in which everyone in the Netherlands, regardless of sex, race, gender or gender expression, feels safe moving through public spaces.

Fairspace is working to build free and fair public spaces. Whether it’s transforming experiences on our streets, in bars and nightclubs, in schools or in the workplace, Fairspace tailors their workshops to the needs of their partners. Their work focuses on three areas: Education, Co-creation and Policy advice.

Let's Talk!

  • Co-Creation Conference Grants

A co-created sexual reproductive health and rights card game by youth for youth, aimed at ages around 14-24. This knowledge product includes a facilitator's guide and the card game 'Let's Talk!'.

  • Knowledge Activation Grants

This policy brief is based on participatory co-creation sessions led by Fairspace with a diverse group of refugees and asylum seekers (A/S) who have lived or are currently residing in Dutch Asylum Centers (AZCs). This phase of the project began with recruitment and the development of training content concurrently. Subsequently, two co-creation sessions were conducted, and the policy brief was written.
