Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities

Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities became the first disability-focused government body in Jordan to formulate policies, follow up on their implementation and provide technical and knowledge-based support to the executive bodies to implement their programs and plans in accordance with the provisions of the new Law. The Council is the main national reference point vis-à-vis policy-making and the implementation of monitoring processes through clear, scientific, and methodological mechanisms recognized by the new Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

A Study on the Status Quo of Reproductive Health Programs in Relation to Persons with Disabilities

The aims of the study are to identify the reproductive health programs in Jordan that address PWDs needs; to raise awareness and combat stereotypes, prejudices and harmful practices relating to persons with disabilities, including those based on sex and age, in all areas of life; and to measure the level of awareness among PWDs and their families in their right to access reproductive health programs in Jordan that address their needs on an equal basis.
