The overall objective of this project was to initiate an online policy dialogue on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on gender-based violence involving Communities of Practices from Bangladesh, Burundi, Jordan, and the Netherlands. The policy dialogues in the form of webinars will be closely tied to experience sharing and generating a better understanding of how to prevent violence against girls, women, and SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity) people during a pandemic like COVID-19 and ensuring better SRHR services and awareness.

The research was conducted using the online social platform of Funtaseum (a Facebook-based feminist group with 40,000 active members), Share-Net Bangladesh, UNYSAB Facebook page (a volunteer youth organization with around 200,000 members), and BraveMen Campaign Facebook page (currently has 4,000 followers).

Center for Men and Masculinities Studies (CMMS)

The Center for Men and Masculinities Studies, established in 2012, is a research-based NGO registered under the Ministry of Social Welfare and NGO Bureaue, Government of Bangladesh. CMMS is dedicated to engaging boys and men for gender justice and addressing masculinities. Their mission is to develop an evidence-based knowledge generation and sharing platform on men and masculinity issues bringing together researchers, practitioners and activists to ensure justice. The Center aims to support and promote action research that furthers the development of boys and men as gender-equitable human beings. Therefore, CMMS seeks to build bridges among a new generation of researchers, practitioners and activists who want to promote positive masculinities and contribute to developing gender-equitable policies and practices addressing masculinities and challenging patriarchy.

Public Health Foundation Bangladesh

Public Health Foundation, Bangladesh (PHFBD) is an independent, autonomous, non-political, and non-profitable organization led by a group of well-reputed, committed, and dedicated multidisciplinary professionals, including physicians, nurses, health academicians, health researchers, public health specialists, and allied health professionals from home and abroad.

It aims to make a positive change towards establishing a fairer, inclusive, more equitable, and healthier society by addressing emerging public health challenges through evidence-based actions, research, mobilizing required resources, and delivering people-centred health services.

A Study on the Status Quo of Reproductive Health Programs in Relation to Persons with Disabilities

Correcting the Common Misconceptions on Sexual and Reproductive Health in Jordan

This research built on existing studies conducted by Share-Net partners in Jordan, as well as research carried out with practitioners and service providers, to capture the common misconceptions women, men, girls, and boys have about Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH). To achieve the research objectives, a qualitative approach was employed. Data was collected through interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs), as well as from desk review.
