The Center for Men and Masculinities Studies, established in 2012, is a research-based NGO registered under the Ministry of Social Welfare and NGO Bureaue, Government of Bangladesh. CMMS is dedicated to engaging boys and men for gender justice and addressing masculinities. Their mission is to develop an evidence-based knowledge generation and sharing platform on men and masculinity issues bringing together researchers, practitioners and activists to ensure justice. The Center aims to support and promote action research that furthers the development of boys and men as gender-equitable human beings. Therefore, CMMS seeks to build bridges among a new generation of researchers, practitioners and activists who want to promote positive masculinities and contribute to developing gender-equitable policies and practices addressing masculinities and challenging patriarchy.
