The Health Care Accreditation Council (“HCAC”)was established in 2007 as an independent non-profit organization, dedicated to leading quality improvement in Jordan and the Eastern Mediterranean region, and upholding patient needs, ethics and best practices. HCAC aims to inspire change and is committed to enabling holistic improvement in the core areas of safer and patient-centred care.
HCAC promotes quality improvement and advances patient safety through its extensive experience in designing and implementing evidence-based standards and quality improvement programs which address processes, procedures, organizational performance and human resource qualifications; improving the performance of organizations and individuals within the healthcare sector; designing and awarding accreditation and certification to health and social care institutions; building the capacity of health and social care professionals; providing consultation services to support change; supporting governments and government entities in realizing their potential to steer healthcare improvement; enhancing performance related to governance, standards, accreditation and capacity building; providing policy reform advice and quality system building services; and, enhancing engagement and awareness.
