The Dutch Working Party on International Safe Motherhood & Reproductive Health

The Working Party on International Safe Motherhood & Reproductive Health (ISM&RH) focuses on women’s health in low and middle-income countries and non-Western immigrants in the Netherlands. The working party aims to improve maternal and women’s health in low-income countries by starting twinning projects with local organisations and people. These projects lead to improved knowledge and skills of local and Dutch Healthcare workers. Scientific research is supported by improving networks and providing scientific knowledge and experience.

This mixed-method research project assesses the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on access to contraception or safe abortion services for women of reproductive age in Iran, Bangladesh, and the Netherlands. The developed knowledge products aim to inform relevant stakeholders on improving access to contraception and safe abortion during crises.
